How Many Korok Seeds are in the Age of Calamity?
Korok seeds are among the major collectibles in BOTW. They return in the Age of Calamity, but instead of 900 seeds, there are now a total of 175 seeds.
Why Collect the Korok Seeds?
In the original BOTW, Korok seeds are mostly used for upgrading weapon slots. In the Age of Calamity, their usages have increased:

Are Korok Seeds Needed to Achieve 100% Completion?
Like in BOTW, the 175 Korok seeds are needed for 100% Completion. In fact, you would not even be able to unlock all the Quests and Characters in the game without collecting all the Korok seeds.
