Breath of the Dying is a runeword consisting of Vex-Hel-El-Eld-Zod-Eth for all six-socketed weapons in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. It is one of the most powerful and expensive runewords for melee characters, primarily because of the requirement for the Zod rune.

The best base equipment for Breath of the Dying is an ethereal Berserk Axe, as it has the most damage per second, and the Zod rune makes it indestructible.
